2024 Holiday Gift Guide

It’s that time of year… pop in your favorite holiday movie (White Christmas, anyone?) and start making your Black Friday shopping list! Whether you’re shopping for a friend, a family member, or even yourself (’tis the season), here are some Living Mostly Vintage-approved gift ideas for the classic film fan in your life.

For the ✨Film Buff✨:

Criterion is a gold mine for film lovers, and they offer plenty of options. If you’re not sure what specific movie to gift your friend or family member, Criterion offers general merchandise like mugs, tote bags, postcards, and T-shirts. (The “genre” tees are especially fun.) Gift cards are always a safe bet, or if you want to really treat them, you can get them a subscription to the Criterion Channel for $99.99 a year.
They’ve also recently released some products themed around the mobile Criterion Closet: a miniature Criterion Closet truck and a “my Criterion Closet picks” tote bag.

For the Nostalgic

Natasha Gregson Wagner created this perfume in honor of her mother, Natalie Wood, inspired by the perfume Natalie herself wore. Natalie loved gifting her signature fragrance to her loved ones, and in that spirit, Natalie Fragrance is having a “buy one, get one free” sale right now. The sale applies to the full sized Natalie perfume bottle, rollerball, and candle. Buy one and get another for a friend or family member! (Enter two of the same product and use the code BOGO24)

For the Friend Who Loves a Challenge:

Warning: The recipient of this gift may drive you crazy by picking up pieces and exclaiming things like “ah, Bill Holden’s hairline!” or “but of course, Errol Flynn’s upper lip!” (I swear I’m not that person.)

For the Interior Decorator:
Some things never change… like the beauty and quality of Katie’s prints. Since last year’s gift guide, some new additions to her shop include Lucy Ricardo’s “hostess dress” (“I kissed Bill Holden!”), and Mary Poppins’ Chim Chim Cheree outfit. She also has some new prints based on locations: the Von Trapp home from The Sound of Music, and two famous signs from classic Christmas films: “You are now in Bedford Falls” from It’s a Wonderful Life, and “Bob Wallace and Phil Davis in ‘Playing Around’” from White Christmas. I want ‘em all!

More Gifts That Remain Timeless...

Breakfast at Dominique’s Coffee is still going strong and is as delicious as ever. The most recent addition is the Barbara La Marr cinnamon-vanilla, which smells like a churro baking as it brews, and tastes even better. It’s selling out fast, so make sure you get a bag!
Shop Hollywood Blends

Ann-Margret Perfume
A beautiful and classic scent that Ann-Margret dedicated to “her guys and gals” who served during the Vietnam War. All proceeds go to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund.

The holidays can be a hectic time. I'm praying you all find some peace and rest in the midst of the craziness, and that you have a blessed holiday season!

Keep living vintage
